Trying To Maintain a Sense of Humour Today

Posted by 2 on

I am trying to maintain my sense of humour today but it’s been a challenge: The puppy rolled in dog poop while on our walk and when I went to pick him up, I got covered in it. While trying to conduct a phone interview for a live taping on Global Talk Radio, the following occurred: i)               Dogs started barking at a squirrel in the backyard. ii)             Phone line cut out 3 times. Thanks Rogers! I’m switching back to Bell Canada. iii)            Elte carpets rang the doorbell. They were 4 hours early for a service call. iv)            The golf company arrived unexpectantly. When they knocked on the door, the dogs started barking again. v)             Luckily the radio host, Kevin, had a sense of humour and allowed me to re-tape later in the day. Hopefully, the final interview sounds okay! I wish I could say things improved for the rest of the morning but they didn’t: Rogers phone line continued to drop calls when I was doing an interview for MORE magazine and while on the phone with FedEx. The site wouldn’t allow me to create shipping forms for customer orders – glitch in their system. Our fax/scanning machine is on the fritz. It’s only 1:00 pm and I’ve got 4 more hours until happy hour. Any suggestions?

  • WTF is the only logical response under the circumstances! Hope you’re having a great day.

  • We had a day like this recently. We christened it: WTF Day … nothing to be done but endure it and know tomorrow will be, well, if not “better,” at least “different.” Hang in there!

  • And today is going along beautifully. Thank goodness we can still laugh when the sh— is flying!

  • Dear Pam,
If it put a smile on your face, then it was all worthwhile! Surprisingly the Global Talk Radio interview came out really well. I was just sent the link:
