I am replaceable and that’s okay. It took me a while to admit it because like most small business owners, I felt my business would fall apart if I took some time off. But the reality of working 7 days a week and often 10 to 12 hour days has caught up with me so I’ve hired someone else to help me with the long hours. I am pleased to announce that Maria Wood, http://theblogerista.com, is going to relieve me every evening during the Toronto One of a Kind eleven-day show. In the past, I’ve worked alone in my Tail Wags Helmet Covers booth from 10 am to 9 pm every day; in other words, I didn’t stop for washroom or meal breaks. In retrospect, I can’t imagine how I’ve kept up the pace for so long. But this year, I decided it would be heavenly to head home at dinnertime and get to bed at a decent hour so I was refreshed and ready to go again for the next day. I wish Maria were available for my other out-of-town shows too but she’s already got a full time job during the day. If you are at this year’s Toronto One of a Kind event (November 24th to December 4th) in the evening, please stop by the Tail Wags Helmet Covers booth (#H-22) and say hello to Maria! If you’re there during the day, please stop by and say hello to me! Do you feel caught up in a crazy schedule that’s leaving you exhausted? If yes, how can you get the extra help you need to lighten your load?
