The City of Toronto is promoting several events this week to highlight Bike Month 2013. They include guided bike tours, art shows, film screenings and the May 27th Bike to Work Group Commute! Councillor Denzil Minnan-Wong is Chair of the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee and wrote, "Cycling is a healthy activity that everyone in the family can enjoy, and it's becoming a real option to driving for many." Tail Wags would also like to encourage you to leave your car behind and hop on your bike for your next trip to local markets in your community. You'll feel better and you'll help to reduce traffic congestion and smog in the city. In particular, we'd love to see Mayor Rob Ford show up to work on his bike! Just one more thing: please remember to wear your safety helmet!
