Halloween is Such a Wonderful Time of the Year!

Posted by 2 on

I’ve always loved dress-up so, as you can imagine, Halloween is one of my favourite holidays each year! As a child, I would spend months making my Halloween costumes. They weren’t store bought; they were always home made and elaborate. I wish I had photos to show you but sadly I don’t (a subtle reminder to all parents to take lots of photos of your kids’ costumes). It’s time we changed this statistic by encouraging our kids to be more active....

School's Out For The Summer!

Posted by 2 on

Now that school is out for the summer months, it’s tempting to book our children in back-to-back camp programs or plan numerous outings with them. After all, we’d hate for our kids to be bored. But believe it or not, a bit of boredom is good for them! In fact, kids need downtime to unwind and unstructured play is usually the best way for children to de-stress. Your kids have spent the last 10 months in school where teachers have kept them occupied 6 hours each day. Now it’s their turn to entertain themselves. I’m not suggesting kids should have...
